Day 5: Top 15 Books of 2015

Welcome to Day 5 of It’s the End of the Year Read-A-Thon 2015 and today is hosted my me. I didn’t read much this year at all. I think I read so much in 2014 and I think I got burned out honestly. I’m really hoping that 2016 will be a really good year for me. Despite all this I did read some pretty good books and some pretty bad books here are my top 15 books of 2015. Or I will try to name 15.

I this was the very fist book I read this year and I really enjoyed it of what I remember from it. I’m huge Wizard of Oz fan and this retelling really was what I wanted it to be. I recommend it and do see me picking it up again rereading the book.

I think the next book Burden was good read, but it did take me awhile to get into it and I did end up really liking it the second book is on my list too, but it is further down. I can’t wait to pick up the last book and see what happens to the amazing characters. This concept reminded me a little bit of Significance by Shelly Crane.

I did enjoy this book. The writing was something I had to get use to and I can’t wait to continue reading the series. I did feel that there was a lot happening in this book. I’m hoping there’s going to be character development in the main character as the series goes on. Most people you read this either love or hate so it will be an iffy read if you do decide to pick this one up.

This book was way much better than the first book. I loved it and like I said I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. The ending of this book was just had a huge cliffhanger and I really do recommend this book.

This is book is getting really close to my top 10, but since I read at the beginning of the year. I do remember loving this book. I can’t wait to read the next book and see more of this world. I honestly didn’t expect this book to be as good as it did. I read a few books like that this year. I highly recommend this book.

My top ten book of 2015 is My Secret to Tell. This book blew me away and I loved every single part of it.  It did hit the suspense of it. I do believe that it was predictable because I did guess who done it about half way through the book. If it could have kept me clueless for a little bit longer I would have put it further down the list.

What can I say about this book? This was a great suspense novel and it was really good book. The ending of the book left me. It was just. It did take a little while to get into it, but other than I recommend this book to people who love thriller and suspense novels.

If anyone hasn’t already know I love E.V Fairfall’s books and her writing. Her first book was really good, but this book blew me away. Everything about it just made me want me more. I’m super excited to read more from her and I need the next book to this series. I highly recommend her books.  Her books are books that you don’t really see on the market making them very unique.

I’m a big Rainbow Rowell fan and this book was amazing. Everything Rainbow Rowell writes is entertaining. They have all kinds of moments in them. Honestly expected so much from this book and got just got that. I can’t wait to read the other books of hers that I haven’t read and I hope to see more of her books coming out in the near future.

We are one away from hitting the Top 5 books of 2015. This is my only John Green book that I read this year and I loved it. This is my favorite book of his and I can’t wait to read more of his books. I feel like I say that a lot, but it’s the truth. He is a fantastic author and honestly captures things that other authors don’t. Everything he writes seems to have a deeper meaning.

This is officially hitting my top 5 books of this year. Ender’s Game was unexpected I didn’t think I would like it. This book turned out to be fantastic and I can’t wait to read more in this world. I plan on finishing the series next year. For me this paved the way for many books that I know of today. I could spot out connections from Divergent, Hunger Games, and pretty much any dyspotian book out there. My favorite part of this book would have to be the fact that it is still so relevant today, meaning it hasn’t vanished in to the abyss of unread books. I highly recommend this book.

If you guys didn’t know about this book, by now. I literally talk about this book a lot. Jenna Moreci is a debut author and I was lucky to get to read the book early. I loved this book and want the second book now. I know she is currently writing two books. The second book of this series and another book for a different series(That’s fantasy my favorite genre. In the meantime go pick of this book now.

I couldn’t not have this book in my top 5. This is coming in at number three on my list. I think I had hard time getting to know a new set of characters, but I loved that I saw Maxon and America in this book. The ending though. I just can’t even come to terms with this ending. I need the last and final book now just to set my mind at ease.

Deciding between this book and the my number one book was really hard. This was an excellent debut novel and deserves all the hype surrounding it. I highly recommend this book. Everything was just perfectly written. I didn’t feel like there was one event that shouldn’t have been where it was. I need the Rose and the Dagger now I can’t wait. Just thinking about this book just gives me the feels.

There once was girl who hopped on the bandwaggon late and she regret most certainly. Words can not express how I feel about The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. Just thinking about this book gives me the chills. I need to finish this series next year for sure. Everything about this book was just perfect. I think the ending really is sticking with me on this one even though I read in July. If you haven’t read this series yet please go pick yourself up a copy and read it.
